Quoted from Ted Talks: "Richard Turere is a young Maasai man who lives in the wilderness of the Kenya savanna, on the edge of a national park full of rhino, giraffe, buffalo and lions. Since he was 9, Richard has held the honored chore of tending his father's cattle; in his free time, he tinkered with electrical gadgets. After dismantling the few household appliances, Richard taught himself how to fix them, and then he started inventing. He fit his parents' home with fans made from car parts and other junkyard components harvested from junkyards, then built other inventions for his neighbors.
Now 13, he is renowned for inventing "lion lights," a fence made of basic pieces (solar charging cells, flashlight parts), which quickly and effectively scares lions away from his father's cattle. Richard's dream is to be an aircraft engineer."

Here is a Blabberize and you could do a Voki - mine kind of got messed up.
The directions say to choose something that I am passionate to write about. Who or what can I easily talk about to anyone who listens? My oldest nephew, that’s who. John is amazing. He is brilliant, like so smart he got all the way through Calculus 4 and all of his Engineering classes without needing a note taker – receiving his degree with honors. He is a funny writer, a great conversationalist, an exceptional student and an excellent teacher, good company and he is a gifted musician. I know I am bragging, but I am not exaggerating.
His band, Dog & Panther just released their 2nd full length album, and it is fantastic. They currently have over 20,000 followers on soundcloud – although they think one of their fans may be a computer hacker and some of their fans may not have realized that they have become fans – but that is a mystery we may never get to the bottom of.
Dog & Panther has only had one full concert, but I can’t wait for the next one. I also am anxiously awaiting some, any new videos by the band, as those are always fascinating. In the meantime, I enjoy listening to his Dog & Panther tunes as well as the other music he works on. If you listen carefully you may catch snippets of his music on past Super bowl commercials and perhaps even MTV as they have bought some of his music.
These facts about John are all really cool. But what I find inspiring about John is everything I’ve mentioned is what he has been doing the last few years. The reason that is so remarkable is that 7 years ago John almost died in a car accident. He survived and has accomplished all of this as a quadriplegic. His positive attitude is contagious and he is my inspiration.
